Lodging

Section 19-13-B29 of the Connecticut Public Health Code requires the Director of Health to ensure that sanitary conditions are being maintained at all hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts and other lodging establishments.

Ledge Light Health District licenses and inspects all lodging establishments in our jurisdiction on an annual basis, and in the event of a complaint. In the event that unsanitary conditions are discovered, the District uses the Connecticut Public Health Code as a regulatory tool to bring the establishment into compliance.

District Sanitarians maintains historical records of all lodging inspections and licenses. If you would like to obtain information regarding any particular lodging establishment within the Ledge Light Health District, please contact Steve Mansfield, Deputy Director of Health.

The District also responds to all inquiries or complaints regarding lodging establishments. To make a complaint, please complete our citizen complaint form.
