Programs and Data

In addition to our regulatory and protection activities, Ledge Light Health District runs various educational and promotional programs. Designed with our goal of a healthier community in mind, these programs may inform the community about a particular disease or provide education on a healthier way to do things. Although some of our programs are funded out of our operating budget, the District staff continually seeks funding from federal, state and private sources to implement programs to address community needs. We are grateful to our funders for their support of our activities.

The District collects data on the health of our communities to help identify areas of need. The New London County Health Study yielded valuable information regarding the health status of New London County residents.
