The American Red Cross is holding blood drives locally in the month of June. More locations can be viewed on their web site.

Harry Watson Internship Applications Accepted- posted May 12, 2010
Ledge Light Health District is now accepting applications for our Harry Watson Internship Program. High school juniors and seniors in East Lyme, Groton, Ledyard, New London and Waterford should check out this exciting opportunity to learn more about careers in public health!
Prescription Drug Take Back- posted May 5, 2010
The Groton Adolescent Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition will hold a prescription drug take back even on Thursday, May 13 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Groton Senior Center Located at 102 Newtown Rd. Any unused prescriptions or over the counter medications can be brought to the event and they will be safely discarded. All containers must have the original labels and illegal drugs or paraphernalia will not be accepted.
