AAFES Recalls
"Soldier Bear" Toys Due to Risk of Lead Exposure

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the
firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following
consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products
immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of Product: Soldier Bear Toys
Hazard: The surface paint on the toys contains excessive levels of lead,
violating the federal lead paint standard.
Description: This recall involves the following wooden toys and a
plastic military vehicle toy playset. The style number, UPC codes
and "Soldier Bear" logo are printed on the toy's packaging.

Sold at: AAFES stores worldwide from August 2006 through October 2007
for between $5 and $20.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately take the recalled toys away from
children and return them to the nearest AAFES store for a full refund.
