Schylling Toys Recalls Toy Tops Due to Lead Poisoning Hazard

August 13, 2007

Schylling Toys has announced a voluntary recall of toy tops manufactured between 2001 and 2002.  The recalled products are 51,000 toy tops in the Thomas and Friends, Curious George and Circus top lines.  Surface paint on the toy's wooden handle contains excessive levels of lead.  Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.

Schylling encourages all consumers who believe that they may own these tops to contact them at 800-767-8697, by e-mail or visit their website
