Children's Jewelry Due to Risk of Lead Exposure

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the
firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following
consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products
immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of Product: Codeena Princess Children's Metal Jewelry
Hazard: The recalled jewelry contains high levels of lead. Lead is
toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health
effects.
Description: This recall involves the Codeena Princess children's
jewelry. Only jewelry with item numbers KS1367SS and KS1369SCP are
included in the recall. The item number is printed on the back of
the packaging. The children's jewelry sets were sold in a variety
of sets including pink or white pearl-like necklace, bracelet and
earring or ting combinations. Some sets have studded charms
dangling on the bracelet and necklace.
Sold at: Discount stores nationwide from September 2005 through
August 2007 for about $5.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately take the recalled jewelry away form
children and return to the store where purchased for a refund.
